welcome (back)

I know this isn't really a "new" hobby for me, as I did write posts steadily under a different blog name and address. But I did take a solid sixteen month hiatus and decided I should start completely anew. So there you have it. New layout, new blog name, new handle.

I have saved the old stuff to my hard drive, and deleted it from blogspot. If you're looking for it here, too bad. If you want some of that back, let me know and I'll see what I can do. The problem with most of it was I outgrew too much of what I had written. And while I didn't want to delete it outright, since it does provide a nice glimpse of where I was, I didn't want it to become the subject of anything going forward.

Unless I decide to start pulling out old posts as "classics" because I feel like it's time to write something and I'm fresh out of originality. We'll see.

What will this blog be about? I can honestly say I don't know. I'm not going to try and fall into any kind of system. I'll write about what I want, when I want, and the subjects likely won't be related. But there's some "blogworthy" events coming up for me soon. So I figured I should get the ball rolling now.
